INDIAN FIRE !
On May 15, 2002, a wild fire started in the Indian Creek campground near Prescott, AZ and by days end was burning within the city limits. The fire was contained in 3 days after the loss of several homes, but the damage could have been much worse if not for the coordinated efforts of numerous fire fighting agencies. Air tankers dropping fire retardant slurry played a large part in the effort and included Air Tanker # 123, which later went down in Colorado while fighting the Big Elk fire.
The INDIAN FIRE ! Documentary is Dedicated to all those who fought the Indian Fire and is a Special Tribute to the crew of Air Tanker # 123. It is a production of Chino Davis Video and "Professor" George C Hall in cooperation with the Sharlot Hall Museum. In the video, Jazz vocalist and pianist Bo Hughes performs his composition "Drop a Load on the Indian Fire".
